Cheryl loved her family and helping others. With her husband of 45 years, Pat, she raised two children and was blessed with five grandchildren.
Volunteering was a main focus for Cheryl—teaching Sunday School, helping Pat coach T-Ball, and being a Lions club member. One of the few women in the Chisago Lakes club, Cheryl served as treasurer and secretary, managed the club’s financials, and planned the annual Christmas party and Cadillac dinner. She was named Chisago Lakes Lion of the Year and has been honored with Helen Keller and Melvin Jones awards.
In 2013, Cheryl was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. She spent her remaining weeks with her family.
Cheryl’s final act, cornea donation, helped restore sight for two women.
